We are always happy to receive resume information on executives; however, Carmichael Birrell & Co. relies mainly on intensive and focused research efforts to identify prospective candidates.

The ongoing activity of collecting information and building a database is kept separate from the daily focus of our consultants on solving the specific, highly targeted search assignments given to them by their clients. Since our consultants are so focused on their current assignments, it becomes very difficult to invest the time necessary to speak with individuals who want to be known to us.

Timing is Everything

We can only "act" on a candidate who is on the market when and if we are retained by a corporate client on an assignment that matches the candidate's background. Unfortunately, for the individual looking to make a career change, our firm can rarely be of assistance. Nevertheless, we are always interested in learning more about the career history of experienced managers and senior executives. We therefore welcome unsolicited resumes, which we classify and keep on file to compare against our active assignments.
